Unlike Trimble apps this one works, is loaded with features, helpful, and caches maps easily. It hasn’t left with stranded in the woods with a cache error. This is surely the best navigation app out there. My favorite is that you can overlay tracks to see where you’ve been while recording a new track. -Matt

In a nutshell, the best $10 ever spent! I’ve been using BackCountry Navigator TOPO GPS (now v5.9.8) for 3 years to find maps for, and to track, my MTB, hiking and enduro MC outings. I have access to map layers suitable for every land management agency, and CritterMaps provides regular updates to keep the app working as advertised. I regularly use BCN outside 4G coverage with no problem… just be sure to download the map tiles you need first! -Ian
